Happy late night everyone:
I know, I'm running really late in getting these posted, but I've been so busy today trying to come up with some 3x3 card samples for an abstractor at work who asked me to make "little" cards for her 4 granddaughters who range in age from 12-7 (she has also asked that I make gift tags, but haven't made it that far yet). I am not too happy with what I came up with and have struggled all day because I'm not used to making these sized cards; therefore, I would like to get your help in providing me with your thoughts on how I can improve upon these.
Well, I'm tired so I'm going to say goodnight and hope you have a great Monday. I appreciate your help on these.
Janet

These are so cute! I really love the pink flower against the green on the first one!
ReplyDeleteI think they are really nice. I love smaller cards and these are really pretty.
ReplyDeleteJanet I think they're lovely, especially the first one! If you were doing them again I would maybe matt them one more time onto a brighter contrasting colour to make them pop from the card a bit more. Other than that they are fine.

Hi Janet
ReplyDeleteI struggle with this size too - the lady who is fabulous at these tiny cards is Jo - she has done some wonderful ones.
I realise where my problem is - it's the proportions - you need to make the things you put on your card in relative proportion - although I have seen people stick really big things on little cards. Small patterned papers, small brads, small stamps etc seem to work better - I like your cards though and I think you may be being a little over critical of your work.
I know what that's like too - I am always really critical of my work and instead of enjoying it and being proud of it I pick fault with it ! !
have a great day

You did great on these Janet! I especially like the first two. I haven't worked with this size so I can't offer any advice although I agree with Saxo Stamper small goes best on small areas.
ReplyDeleteI love little 3x3 cards. Yours are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI think you've done a great job on these - they are all very cute.
ReplyDeletei think they are precious!!!!
ReplyDeleteJanet I think you have done a great job with these small cards. Yes you have used small prints which is good and I particularly like the first one. I think small cards do need to have small print paper and small images.
ReplyDeleteWell you know I just LOVE these. The green one is my favorite. Awesome job once again my amazing sis :)
