Hi

Hey everyone:

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are doing well and I appreciate all your thoughts and prayers for my family. Daddy does not have to have surgery at the moment; however, the doctor is wanting to do a cat scan to see if there's another possible procedure he can do to help clear up one of his blocked arteries. Daddy has perked up since Wednesday and I know that has a lot to do with the fact that he can get back to some what of a normal routine - when he was told a few months ago that he may have to have surgery, he was instructed to do nothing, i.e. mow grass, exercise, etc. This, as you probably know, can make a person weak, somewhat depressed and just plan sluggish. Well, the cardiologist told daddy that he can do anything he would like, within reason, of course, and that was such a relief to daddy because he is the type of person who can't sit still and it bothers him when he can't do. He is just excited that he can ride his tractor :)

Since coming back from NC, I just haven't wanted to do much with the computer and apologize for not blogging lately or letting you know how things have been going. Not only was I thinking of daddy a lot, but Jim and I have been getting ready for our motorcycle trip out west and I haven't really had the opportunity to do much on the computer. We weren't sure at first if we were going to be able to make it, but with daddy not having surgery, we are going. Jim and the guys left on the motorcycles heading towards Alberta Canada on Friday and the girls are going to fly to meet them this Wednesday. There are going to be 5 couples riding from Alberta Canada, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Kansas and back home over the next two weeks. There are two things on this trip that I have always wanted to do and that is fly (yep, I have never flown before) and visit Colorado (we are going to be there for 3-4 days). I spoke to Jim this morning and they are in Iowa - he told me that they have already seen some awesome scenery. I was looking at some of the places we are going this morning (Banff National Park, Beartooth Pass, Yellowstone Park, etc.) and I just stare in awe at what is waiting for us. I am so excited and can't wait.

I want to thank everyone who kept us in their prayers and thoughts - it means so much to us all. As soon as we find out from the cat scan what the cardiologist is wanting to do, I'll pass this on.

I probably won't be back on until the end of July and I hope each of you have a great 4th of July and will be safe. Enjoy each day and know that I am thinking of you all (I'll be sure to upload some pictures when I return). I thank God for bringing each of you into my life and you are all a true blessing to me.

Love to all

Janet

  3. Janet, I am thinking of you as you go through this worrying time! I have been very inactive on here lately due to our big move. Now we are living out of boxes which makes it hard for me to find the stamping goodies I need LOL!! All will be good.
