UPDATE: Hi - I had posted this last night, but wanted to add that I found out from my sister today that my brother-in-law will be heading over to Iraq Monday for a year so I am asking that you please keep Philip, my sister Tammy and their three children in your thoughts and prayers. Tammy and Philip were very blessed a few days before Christmas with the delivery of a beautiful baby girl - Vyvienne Oktavia faith was a little early (she weighed 5 lbs 1 oz) and is, what I believe, God's will in letting Philip see his little girl before he leaves. Both Tammy and Vyvienne are doing wonderful - David and Symantha, big brother and sister are just doting on their new sister everyday. Once I get pictures, I'll post them - I haven't seen her yet, but hope to soon.
I hope this finds everyone well and enjoying the holidays. We had such a great Christmas and am looking forward to the weekend. I haven't been blogging very much lately due to the holidays and spending time with my family, which has been so nice. Jim is on vacation this week so he and Patrick have been having a great time doing guy things together.
I wanted to send everyone a hello and ask for a special prayers request. Please keep all the men & women in our armed services, as well as their families, in your prayers. I know it must be very difficult to have a family member away for a lengthy amount of time and words just can't begin to express how much my heart goes out to each of them - to me, saying thank you for all they do to keep us safe just doesn't seem enough. I have a very special friend whose husband was deployed yesterday for 6 months and they have been in my thoughts so much over the past few weeks as they got ready for him to leave and was even more so yesterday. Keri and her family has the love and strength of God, family and friends surrounding them, but I know the extra prayers will help them even more during the coming months until Adam comes home. I just want to say, Keri, please know that we are thinking of you, Adam and the children. Please pass on a humble thank you to Adam when you speak with him again and let him know that we are keeping him and his fellow soldiers in our prayers and thoughts. We love you.
I will leave for now, but do plan on being back tomorrow with a card or two.
Have a great one !!!
Janet
