Hey:
As I stated sometime ago, I have been wanting to do more altered projects and when a friend from work asked me to make some for her boss, I was like, well I can't make her any monogram cards because another friend from work had already asked me to do that, so a hunting I went.
I came across a writing pad folder in SCS and was like, I'm going to give that a try. I was very pleased I did, because I LOVE IT and it was so easy - you use a decorated file folder and that's all (well, of course you have to embellish a little bit) - it was easy peasy. I haven't had a chance to talk with Amy about it since she hasn't been in the office this week, but can't wait to get with her to see what she thought (the lady who gave it to her said she loved it). I can see teacher's gifts in this and know that I will be using technique often.
This is the card I gave her to wish her a happy birthday.
Hope everyone is having a great week - we are having beautiful weather and from what I am hearing, it's going to be an even better weekend.
Janet
Oooh Janet gorgeous project! I love that patterned paper and the flower on your card is sooooo nice. Hope you are well and that Spring is on its way over where you are. Jill x
ReplyDeleteHi Janet, Wow you have been busy! Love your projects! When I was in the US in 2003, I was lucky enough to go to a huge scrapbooking shop and did a class there. We made a notepad holder like yours only we used cardboard for the covers, covered that with DSP and used suede paper for the spine! They looked great and you can slip in another pad when that one is finished! Love your pretty card too with that gorgeous flower. Hugss
