Color Throwdown

Hey there everyone:
I hope you are all doing well and had a great holiday season.  I can't believe January is already over - my goodness.

I have been trying to get back into the swing of things and knew that participating in some challenges would be the key to do just that, so to start off, I wanted to do a color challenge since I typically struggle with those.  My friend Broni is part of the Color Throwdown design team and when I saw the card she created using the fun colors this week (hint, my favorite color is included), I knew this is the place to begin.  The type of card I created, however, isn't one I enjoy making.  I have a sweet friend who had a special person in her family pass away a few days ago and wanted to get a card out to her letting her know we are keeping her in our thoughts and prayers.
Okay, on to the card.  I am using the colors from Throwdown Countdown #377, which is gray, YELLOW and khaki.  No, I have to admit, these were VERY difficult for me and took me all day long to come up with something (yes, I actually threw away several designs before I came up with this one) but I didn't deter, I got there finally :)  It's rather simple, but getting started back up was harder than I thought it would be, but isn't that what the best thing about a challenge is, keep on going until you get there and don't give up?  Yes, I think so.
I hope you will head over and join in on this challenge as well (the deadline is tomorrow) and know I will be back this week with the new one coming up because the Color Throwdown is helping me think outside the box a little bit :)

Have a great afternoon and see you tomorrow.

Janet
