It's been too long since I have visited my blog to post anything and must say I have missed it, but I just haven't had time or the mojo to do anything; however, I have been coloring a lot, so thought I would take some of the images I have colored and put them to use on some creations.
For this card, I used two challenges - Color Throwdown and CAS(E) this Sketch.
As I have stated before, when I lose my mojo, challenges always seem to help me and when I saw this weeks The Color Throwndown challenge, knew this image would be perfect. The CASE(E) sketch was exactly what I was looking for as well (I used the flower sequins as my three elements shown on sketch to the right of the mat).
I have a friend who just found out she has cancer and started treatment this week and when I saw this Unity Stamp and sentiment, knew I had to get this to make a card for her. She has told me many times how she is putting everything in God's hands and that every day will be a blessing. I took an idea from Amy over at Prairie, Paper & Ink and decorated the inside of my card as well. This sentiment is to let her know that she is a blessing to me and that I am sending them to her as well (I didn't color the image, but I really like how it turned out and will be stamping on the inside of cards from now on - thanks Amy).
I hope everyone is doing well and hope to catch up with you all soon.Janet

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your friend's cancer. I know she will be thrilled to receive your beautiful card. Your coloring is awesome and stamping on the inside is a very clever idea I'll have to CASE. Hope to see your creative talents again soon. Sending prayers for your friend and her family.
