Musical Boss's Day

Hey everyone:

Tuesday is Boss's Day and I have been asked to make several bosses day cards for people at work and for Jim's work, so over the next few days, I'll probably be showing you some of those.  The first one I worked on was for a guy at work who is a great person and I always enjoy making cards for John because he is a challenge to make cards for because he is so unique.  

 

He loves Jerry Garcia, so I thought I would create a shirt & tie card using music from Jerry's song, Casey Jones, for his tie and shirt collar (but you can't really tell it from seeing this - I tried to get some of the wording from the song worked into the tie, but just couldn't get it to work); I found the music font online and tied it into the card.  I was going to put a pocket on the front, but it just didn't look right, so left it like this.  I realized after making it that I should have used a different color, but since I have to give it to the lady who asked for it tomorrow, can't make a change now, but will remember it for the next one I make.
