I really do hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and wonderful New Years. We have been having a relaxing time here in the Bagnall home by taking some time off and doing absolutely whatever we want :) It has been grand. I have been cleaning, organizing, labeling and everything in between to get my craft room in shape and geared up for the new year and am now raring to go.
And what better way to start off than with a challenge :) Since I am wanting to step out of my box more this year, thought I would start with a sketch challenge because the colors are going to be a little harder for me. I went in search of a fun challenge and came across Get Sketchy over at MFT and said this would be it.
Jim has a co-worker who has accepted a new job and will be leaving soon, so he asked me to create a "best wishes" card for her. I like the way the sketch has that angled piece and knew the MFT had the perfect die for that and sure enough, here it is. I also love these colors together, but when I put everything down, it was bare, so created a floral background.
I also tried my hand again at the heat embossing (I know I'm going to get that down pat one of these days) and used sequins from Pretty Pink Posh (LOVE, LOVE these).
I hope you enjoy.
I have 2 more days to create since I return to work Tuesday, so I am going to be creating some card/note sets tomorrow (hopefully) for a friend from work who got married on January 1st and am looking forward to that.
Have a great one and I'll see you soon.
