It's me again. I have been having so much fun today getting back into challenges. I used The Paper Player "Everything Old is New Again" challenge where you create a project using a recycled or re-purposed item. Oh, how fun this one was J I also used the sketch over at Sunday Stamps (this is my first time participating in their challenge and can see I will be back often).
Here is the information on how my card was created using recycle or re-purposed items. When I saw Anne Marie's challenge, thought wow, this is going to be interesting. The first place I went was Patrick's room because -- well, he's a 15 year old boy so there has to be tons of stuff I could used J I found something that belonged to a Nerf ball contraption he has had forever and decided to use the vinyl ribbon that was attached to a button he no longer needed. This is where I come up with the color of my card. Secondly, I went into our bathroom and found a sewing kit you get while visiting a hotel. When I pulled out the stuff located in the box, I knew I could use the plastic bag holding the string and buttons that were in it.
Thirdly, the news print paper was something I have been holding on to for a while now knowing that I would use it one day (I had stamped the pleasant poppies stamp on it over a year ago, but never completed the project I started with, but love this set so much, just couldn't throw it away). Here is the final card. I really enjoyed this challenge and it really made me think about how to put this together (it took me over 2 hours to do this, but it was so worth it) so my goal of thinking outside the box this year has begun (thanks Anne Marie J).
I hope you guys have a great afternoon. I am still going to create, but I'm not going to post anymore today - I have to spread the love out a bit J
