Hurray - it's here

Well, as the title states, it's here. I got my camera battery back today - can we say "happy dance" :) I didn't realize how much one person could become lost without a camera; I suppose I'm becoming addicted to it. I have posted a few more monogram cards I made for my sister and I was so surprised at how these turned out, specifically because they are black and white . I'm usually a colorful person, but I am so happy with how these turned out. There's just something about them that just says "elegant and dainty".

LaToya, who is in my SCS blogger group, came up with a unique challenge for us this past week and that was to design a valentine's day card using no pink, white or red. I am running a little behind and haven't even started on valentine's yet , but found one I did last year - the card is made with French vanilla paper and stamps using purple ink, so thought that would work perfect. There's not much to it, but it was one of my first cards and wasn't thinking outside the box yet. It's interesting to see how my cards have come since then - I'm still pretty simple, but I'm adding a little more to them card by card.

I am going to be working on a few challenges over the next few days and will post those when I finish. I'll talk to you all again hopefully tomorrow and ask that you have a Happy Monday !!!
