Happy Sunday everyone:
I hope you are all enjoying the weekend like I am. It has been one full of helping Jim clean out his office (he starts a new job in the next few weeks and with being at his current job for 15 years, it took us a while to get started - there was no way we would finish in one day), clean my house a little and then stamp the rest of the night while watching some great Olympic games. We watched the tennis match this morning against Federer and Murray and wow, what a game. I love Federer, but was excited to see Murray take gold - I'm just a big tennis fan either way, so it was just great to watch. I have loved every moment of the Olympics this year and will be sad to see it end. London has done an AWESOME job being the host this year. I will be so excited when we travel there one of these days not only to be where they Olympics were once held, but to visit my wonderful friends who live there (waving hello to you !!).

Okay, on to my card. I was perusing the challenge blogs and came across one that I always tell myself I'm going to participate in more, but for some odd reason, never do :( but I have placed it on my Pinterest board as one that must get used more often. I have met some great friends from this wonderful design team and it is always so much fun seeing what they have come up with and talk with them.
The Paper Players is having a theme challenge this month and it is all about "Back to School". Can you believe it's already time to start thinking about the kids going back to school? Where in the world did the summer go? I know one thing, Patrick had a great time this summer and even though he says he wants to go back to school, he is going to miss the summer. When I think of going back to school, I think of the teachers and all that they do to help our children become better adults by teaching them what is needed academically to get them where they want to be. With that in mind, I wanted to make a "thank you" card for each of every teacher out there, whether it be a public, private or home school teacher. You are all amazing and thank you just doesn't start expressing how much you do and go through every year. I am even more excited about this because our daughter Elizabeth is on her last year of college where she is majoring in education and English - in May of 2013, she will graduate with a bachelors and then she is off to teach high school English. We are very proud of her and so this card also goes out to her for all that she is doing to inspire future teachers.
Well, I've talked enough, so I'm off to go find another challenge to work on today - it is going to be a fun day today, I can already see it :)
Janet
