It's time for school already

Well, as the title says, school is about to begin once again.  Where in the world did summer vacation go?  Patrick is ready for it, I do believe but don't know if I am.  He's going to be in the 8th grade already, but then I have to look at the fact that our two older kids are in their final years of college, so it's going to be a hard year for us (especially the end of it with graduation and the idea of Patrick going into high school).  I'm going to stop talking about it now before I start crying again.

Speaking of school, I was asked by a friend from work to make her several thank you cards for her children's teachers when they go to school their first day.  When I was looking through my challenge list, noticed that The Pink Elephant is having a "Back To School" challenge, so knew I was going to use this card for that challenge, so now I had to work on the sketch.  Well, I have always enjoyed doing Karen's challenges over at Sweet Sunday so when I saw this week's sketch, that was it.  I did change it around a little bit and hope that is okay.  I am really pleased with how it turned out and know that I will be using this design more in the coming year.
