A friend from work just had her dog, which was her baby, die from cancer a few weeks ago and I wanted to send her something to let her know I was here for her. This was a simple card to put together and the design brought out Bronson's character, fun and 100% dog.

Good afternoon everyone:

What a beautiful day here in South Carolina.  The weather is outstanding and from what I am seeing, appears to be the plan for the week.  

I had a friend whose brother-in-law passed away a few weeks ago unexpectedly and wanted to send her something to let her know I was thinking of her and her family.  Sympathy cards are hard for me to make, but I thought this one came out pretty good and it was a simple one to put together.

Well, we're off to head outside to enjoy this weather.  I hope you have a great afternoon.

Lots of birthdays - 1st installment

Happy Monday everyone:

I have made many birthday cards over the past several months and thought I would just upload several all at one time. It has been a very busy month for birthdays, so I'm sure I'll be posting more later on, but rest assured, I will be posting other things as well :)

Oh, how sad

Oh, how sad - the weekend is over already :)  It was such a beautiful weekend and we enjoyed ourselves so much, but alas, it must come to an end so we can have another beautiful weekend again soon.  As I stated in one of my earlier blogs, October has been a very busy month for birthdays in my office and I made this one for a great friend's birthday tomorrow.  I really do like the way it turned out and it was so very simple.  My inspiration for this one came from Keri Lee Sereika, with whom I marvel at every time I visit her blog (click on her name to the right and you can see what I'm talking about).  Her talent is amazing and I look forward to visiting her blog on a daily basis to see what other breathtaking card she has made.

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to hear from you soon.

Pretty in pink and brown

It's almost Friday - hurray !!  I hope everyone is having a good week and looking forward to the weekend.  Here is a card I made for a friend to just say hello.  I thought the color combination was great and colored in the flowers with colored pencils, which are fun to use.  I'm learning how to use Copic markers and can't wait to upload a card once I get better at them.

Thinking of You

Good Wednesday evening:

I have been asked by several friends to make a box set of general cards and work on something like this (please forgive the blurriness - I still learning how to take better pictures).  I love the yellow and brown together and this is a card where I can change the colors.

Well, here we go, my first upload.  I had a friend whose uncle recently passed away and along with masculine cards, I always find them to be one of the hardest to make; but after I finished this one, I thought it turned out pretty good.  Give me your thoughts.

Good afternoon

Hi everyone:

Well, here I am finally getting started on posting something other than "Welcome to my blog".  I was hoping to have several cards uploaded by now, but I have been  having issues with it (I must be looking at it wrong - LOL).  I do have plans to meet with someone tomorrow who is going to give me a "learn how to blog" class.  Once I learn how things are done, be prepared, you won't be able to stop me :)

I have, however, been busy working on birthday cards for this month - I thought May was a busy month for birthdays but no, it appears to be October or at least where I am.  I work in a large law firm and have been trying to keep up with giving co-workers a birthday card to brighten their day up a little bit.  It has been fun and a great opportunity to make more cards - as we tell our children, practice is the key.  

Well, I am going to go for now (homework time is calling) and hope to get something posted tomorrow evening.
