Blog candy opportunity

Happy Wednesday everyone:

Denise at http://denisesstampingpage.blogspot.com/ has started her own stamping company called Whimsy Stamps and is getting ready to launch a new line of fun stamps. I am so excited for her and wish her the best on the new venture. She is actually doing something I'm sure a lot of us would like to do. Visit her blog and leave her a comment for a chance to win these fun stamps.

Thanks

Happy Monday

Hey everyone:

Wow, what a day !!  Yes, it was Monday and very busy, but it was a very good day.

I want to show you something new I did over the weekend - used my nestabilities for the first time (well, one that looked good).  I bought these butterflies and fell in love with them immediately.  I absolutely adore these nestabilities - I can die cut them, emboss them and even color them in while they are still in the die.  It's wonderful !!  I made this as a birthday card for a lady I work with but as you can see, it can be used for pretty much everything, which is so nice.  I have two other ladies who have asked that I make them one as well to send to their friends.  I will be using these often and can't wait to start.

I hope you guys have a great evening and I'll try and get back on tomorrow.

Hurray ...

Hurray ... it's Friday. Are we happy about that? Yes !!! To start off the great weekend coming up, I'm going to post a birthday card. As you can see from my blog, I tend to do a lot of them - it seems like everyone has one :)

This is one that is going to be placed in a box set I was asked to do from a lady here at work - it was so easy to do and it was a fun one to make.

Well, I'm off to finish up my work week and then head home to pick up our little one and then go to Wal-Mart - oh what fun :)

Have a great weekend and I'll talk to you soon.

Good morning

It's Thursday morning and we are just a few days closer to the weekend and the Thanksgiving holidays.

I was asked a few days ago to make a wedding card and worked on this one last night - I didn't care for it too much, but I have had more compliments on it this morning and was even asked to make another one with different colors. To me the flowers look too big (I'm going to go smaller on the next one). I am just my own worse critic, I suppose.

I hope you are all having a great day and will post again soon.

Month of weddings

Hi everyone:

I hope this post finds you all doing well and staying warm - I think it's cold everywhere.  Even here in South Carolina, we're having to bundle up in 4 or 5 layers and it's only November :)  I'm usually okay with being cold, but think I have finally gotten adjusted to being warm - after 20 years here, one would think it's about time :)  I'm originally from North Carolina, where is it usually cold from the end of September to the beginning of April and have never been a big fan of the heat, but I actually told my husband recently when I was freezing that I was ready for summer.  He just looked at me and said he never thought he would hear that coming from me.

I have posted several wedding cards I made recently for several friends who either got married or has a family member getting married.  The friend who just got married had unusual colors (red, black & white) and had a fun time coming up with something in that color theme.  I really like the Mr. & Mrs. theme and used my Cricut to help with the letters on these but hope to use the Just Rite Stamps I purchased recently the next time I do one - when I do, I'll make sure to post it so you can get a view of how it looks.

Stay warm and have a great evening.

It's Wednesday

Hi everyone:

Oh, it's Wednesday - half way to the weekend :)  It has been one of those weeks, I tell you; but I hope you are having a good one.

Here is a card that I made for a friend at work and, unbeknownst to me, her favorite color is purple - it was funny how I found out she liked that color.  Her husband sent her purple daisies and when I asked her about them, she said it was her favorite color and I just go "oh, I didn't know that".  We just looked at one another and just laughed - it's just amazing how God works even in the smallest ways.

I hope everyone is doing well and has a great rest of the week.  Talk with you soon.

Engagement

Hi everyone:

Has anyone other than me noticed that the past few weeks have become the time to become engaged?  I have had two friends get engaged within that time frame.  One of them asked me to make an engagement card for a friend of her who got engaged just a few days after she did - there must be something in the water :)

I used my stretch your imagination cricut cartridge for the champagne glass image and really liked out it turned out - it was my first time using this cartridge and know that it will become one that will be used often.  This was a fun card to make and I can see that it could be used in many different ways.

Have a great afternoon.

Happy Anniversary and CPS Sketch #89

Happy Saturday everyone:

I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather  (well, it is beautiful here in the State of South Carolina, where I am located) and the fact that it is Saturday.  It has been such a crazy week around here and am sorry for the long delay in uploading anything.

Last week was my sister's 15th wedding anniversary (hard to believe) and I made a card for her and her husband, Sean.  It took me several times to put one that I liked together, but with the help of sketch #89 from CPS, I was able to come up with one you see above.  I really do like how it turned out.  Elaine & Sean, I know you had a great anniversary and know you will have many more to come.  I love you both.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I'll be back tomorrow to add another post.

Thanks for visiting.
