Happy Thanksgiving

I just wanted to wish everyone an early Happy Thanksgiving. We are heading to North Carolina to spend the thanksgiving holidays with my family first thing tomorrow morning and wouldn't be able to say this tomorrow. I just want to say that I am very thankful and blessed to have each of you as a great friend and you are all so very special to me. We have had a lot of things happen in our family this year and without your prayers, comments and comfort throughout, it would have been extremely so much more difficult. God has truly blessed me with each of you and I love you all dearly.

Stamping 411

Hey everyone:

I was visiting a friend's blog the other day and saw a card she had prepared from using a sketch challenge at Stamping 411 (I just love when that happens, don't you?). They have great sketches to work with and can't wait to see more.

This is my take on this week's sketch.

I'm going to cut it short since I have several birthday cards to work on tonight.

I'm back ...

... with several more challenges. I'm going to be real busy this week working on cards and scrapbook layouts, so I hope you're ready to see a lot of me for the next few days :)

This card is made using three separate challenges - the first one a color challenge from Tenia over at Jazzy Inspirations (I am a huge fan of jazz and always enjoy how Tenia comes up with the colors she picks); the second challenge is from Aly at Aly's Sunday Sketch (this is Aly's 5th challenge and she is a very talented young lady and I look forward to seeing her new challenge and her take on it every other week) and last is a technique challenge (embossing) from Janet at The Corrosive Challenge Blog (I love embossing, especially with my cuttlebug, and knew I just had to do this challenge when I saw it). This was a fun challenge and I hope you can head over to each of these great blogs and join in on them.

Another ...

... get well soon card for you to view; however, this one was made by using a sketch and color challenge. The sketch challenge is given to us by CPS and they always come up with the best sketches; the color challenge is given to me by Arielle at ColourQ. This blog is new to me and I know that it will be one that I visit often. Arielle is a great lady to talk with and is super talented, so head over and take a look at her blog.

Well, I'm having to cut it short because Patrick is asking for chicken noodle soup - I'm hoping that will make him feel a little better.

What a beautiful day ...

... God has truly blessed us with. A person couldn't ask for more :) I hope everyone is enjoying this day. I am getting ready to head to my craft table to work on several challenges I printed out and want to work on - so many to do, not enough time to do them :(

I wanted to show you a card I made for a wonderful lady from work whose mother and father have both been sick over the past few weeks and wanted to cheer her up a little bit - it is really colorful and she is a lady who loves pastel colors, so do you think this will do the trick :)

Well, I'm off to go start my creative juices flowing - I have a few ill patients here at home this weekend and it's quiet at the moment, so I'm going to take advantage before they wake up.

It's the day before ....

... Friday - HURRAY !!! I am so ready for the upcoming weekend, you wouldn't believe. What a week :*

The card I am showing you was one that I intended to submit for a challenge a while back, but didn't get a chance to do so and now can't remember which challenge it was. That's okay though, I can still show you. I love this paper and embellishments, they are so cute and bright; it is from Making Memories Chloe's Closet. I am getting ready to send this out to a girl who has been sick and hope this will cheer her up.

Happy Fall Ya'll

I know, I'm a little behind in saying that, but when I saw this blog template by Heather over at Butterflygirlms Blog Designs, I realized I hadn't officially said that to all my blogging friends. I just love this design by Heather and let me tell you, she has so many great designs to choose from. If you get the chance, go by and take a look. I still have some more work to do, like add my challenge buttons and other little buttons, but am excited about getting the design finished up for now. There's more to come.

Sweet Sunday

Hi everyone:

I hope you all had a safe and Happy Halloween. I can't believe that today is the 1st of November and that Thanksgiving is going to be here before we know it - I just love Thanksgiving and this time of year - it is so calming and just beautiful with the changing leaves and cooler weather.

Today, I am showing you a card I made using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #42. This was a great challenge as always and know that I will be using it often.

I'm off to work on another challenge (Vicki and Denise, be on the look out) and can't wait to show you what I come up with.
