Playing around a little

Well, I’m still trying to learn how to use my new laptop and boy, I tell you, what fun it is.  I not only got a new laptop but got Adobe Photoshop as well and that is going to take some time to get used to – there is so much :) but that’s what we have a library for, which will be seeing me tomorrow when I go get Photoshop for Dummies :)

This is my first post using Windows Live Writers, which allows me to write my blog post first, insert my photo, allow me to review and make changes before I actually have it published on the internet – how cool is that?  So here, goes … 

… man, this thing is so fast.  I used the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge given to us by Karen, who always gives us great sketches every week and this one was so fun to do.

It has come …

Hey everyone.  I hope you are doing well.  We have been very busy here in the Bagnall household and hope it calms down a bit, but I just had to let you know that I received my new laptop today and so thrilled.  I’ll get a picture posted soon.  I am so beyond excited and can’t wait to see what all this thing has.  I am hoping to get back up and going this weekend and can’t wait to see what everyone has done.

Well, Patrick has a science test that we need to study, so I’ll talk soon.

Taking a break

Hi everyone:

I just wanted to let you all now that I'm going to take a break for about 2 weeks from blogging  (I'm still creating though, so I'll have tons to show you when I get back).  I hope everyone is well and can't wait to get back (hopefully by then my laptop would have made it's way here) to see what everyone is up to.

ADDED to clarify:  I am okay, just so busy that I haven't been able to get on the computer like I want to and thought it best to let everyone know that I'm just taking a break until things stop spinning - I appreciate all the emails this morning asking to make sure I'm okay - that means so much to know that I am cared for that much.  I love each of you and you mean so much to me !!!!!

It's Wednesday and that's mean two more days until the weekend - HURRAY !!

The card I'm showing you today is made up of 3 separate challenges:  Curtain Call color challenge by Stacey (I love the colors she picked for this weekend - some of my FAVS); sketch challenge by Stamps and Smiles "The Fresh Batch" blog and finally a theme challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges which is do a birthday card and since I'm always in need of one of those, thought I would jump in for this challenge.  This is the first time doing a challenge from Crazy 4 Challenges and know that I will be back often.

Off to do spelling words with Patrick, so I hope you all have a great evening and a great Thursday.

Today, I'm going to show you a card I did for a friend's birthday coming up and I used three seperate challenges.  The first is the sketch give to us from CPS, the second is distressing from Corrorsive Challenge and the last is "think round" from 2RedBananas.  I was surprised that I got all three challenges in this one card, but I was happy how it turned out - it looks like a guy card and I'm even happier about that :)

Guess What ??

Not only is it my second post today, but while I was going through my Google Reader this morning trying to catch up from being sick this week, I saw that I had made the Top 3 over at Denise's blog Stamping Vacation (click here to see what I entered).  That is so exciting and I can't thank Denise enough for picking me along with the others - it is huge honor.  Denise has a different type of challenge and I like the fact that you can pick 3 or more items on her challenge list to come up with your creation.  It's great fun.  Head on over if you get a chance.  Thanks again Denise.

I am ready ...

... for spring already.  I, for one, can not believe I am saying this because I love winter, but I must admit even a cold weather girl can get too cold :)  I sure do hope everyone who is experiencing the cold is staying as warm as possible and for those I know who is going through a heat wave (hey Leigh, Jean & Karen), stay cool.

Since I having been thinking of spring, I thought I would work on a birthday card for a lady I know who will be celebrating her birthday in April (yeah, I am a little ahead of the game - hurray).  I just recently received the butterfly stamp and punch set from SU and just had to give it a try and love them.  I really liked the colors and was very happy with them so I know it will become familiar colors I will use from now on.

Good morning, Mr. Monday :)

Happy Monday and I must say one thing - BBBUUURRRRRR!!! - boy, is it cold.  We rarely get cold days like this in South Carolina, but for the past week, we have been having colder weather than normal and it doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.  We are expecting the temperature to only get in the mid-40s and the lows where I live will dip into the 10s - again, can we say burr ~~ but I do like the colder weather better than the heat we can get here in the south, so I am not going to complain one bit.

The card I am showing you today is made by using two different challenges - the first one is the color challenge given to us by my wonderful friend Mary over at Moe Joe Designs.  Mary is such a talented lady and I also enjoy going by to see what all she has done.  The next challenge is a layout challenge by Stamping 411.  I can't remember how I found this site but am glad I did because they provide us with some great challenges.  Please go by, say hello and join in if you get the chance.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone - I hope it has been a wonderful holiday for each and everyone of you.  I am looking forward to a new year and can't wait to get started.  I have enjoyed the time off to visit with family and friends, but I have missed stamping and blogging.

First my first card this year, I wanted to do a challenge I have been meaning to do for a long time and Denise, I finally did it :)  I really loved this challenge and know that I will be using it often.  Head over to see Denise at Stamping Vacation and join in - the one for this week is due tonight at midnight, but Denise will have a new one up tomorrow and I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.
