Happy Birthday Misty

Today is the birthday of a great friend from work so I had to make a very special card for her :)  As you can probably tell, she is one who loves the color purple and butterflies.  I was very surprised at how fast this card came together once I got started - I just love it when they do that.  Misty, I hope you have a great birthday.

Monday birthday

Hey everyone:
We have a very good friend who celebrated his 60th birthday last week and went to his birthday party this weekend (Happy Birthday Harry) - what fun we had :)  Harry loves crossword puzzles, so when I received my This & That Echo Park paper pad last week and saw this paper, knew I would be using it for his birthday card.  As you can see, I have played around with colors again, but when you have great paper to play with, it comes easier.

Enjoy your evening.

John Deere birthday boy

Happy Sunday everyone:
I hope you are all having a great weekend.  I was asked to make a birthday card for a 2 year old who loves John Deere tractors.  Now, I had no clue where to start, so I headed over to Splitcoaststampers and came across several cards I liked.  After putting ideas together, came up with this one.  It was fun getting pieces together to make the tractor ... well, the whole card was really fun to make.  When I gave the card to Nina, she said it was adorable and thought the clouds and sun really topped it off.

Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day and I'll see you tomorrow.

Oh my goodness

Hey there everyone:
I told you I would be back tonight :)  As stated yesterday, I have a friend from work who asked me to make her several cards and one of them was a birthday card for the lady who takes care of her children who is having a birthday coming up in April.  I have always had trouble putting different colors together so when I started this one wasn't sure how it would turn out, but am so happy with how it turned out.  When I took it to Nina today, she was so excited about it she gave me a hug; now that just made my whole day and made me feel so wonderful.

I do believe this is going to be a popular card for me to make and send out often - imagine the possibilities :)

Also, on another neat note, I have received a request to make 4 more of the bee-day cards I showed you yesterday.  All in all, I think today was a good day :)

Have a great one !!

Lace, ribbon, tulle ... oh my

Good evening everyone:

Today I bring you my second post as a design team member for Just Tracys Crafts Challenge Blog.  This month, we are asking that you make a card, layout, project, etc. for a female and to include something flowing - lace, ribbon, tulle, etc. If you are like me, I love lace and ribbon, so this was a fun project.  I used my scor-buddy to make the background design (I just love that little tool) and used my ribbon as the flowing portion of my card.  I know the colors used are blue, but my momma's favorite color is blue and thought it would make a great card to send to her and say hello.
I hope you will come over and join in on the fun.  Last month was great because the participation was just amazing and the projects outstanding.  I have really enjoyed meeting new people and can't wait to meet more through the challenges.

See you soon
