Well, I had hoped to create some today, but it didn't work out that way (hopefully I'll get some done this evening) - I have been cleaning out my creative space trying to find a way to get myself organized a little better. I am very organized normally and usually have an idea of where everything is, but here lately, I'm just not feeling I'm there yet (I think it is because I was looking for some Basic Grey paper the other day and saw so many things I had forgotten about). How do you remember all you have - please pass on any ideas you have. I was thinking about moving all my stuff into an empty room we have (we are now using it as a guest room/play room for Patrick), but I tried that once and I got lonely (I'm one that loves to talk while working) so I moved into a large corner in our living room, so I can talk with Jim and watch tv - it has worked out well, but I'm running out of room :(

Oh, I'm sorry, I got off track there. I'm here to post some more mother's day cards I made - thanks to all that commented on my previous entries - I just love it when my wonderful blogging friends come by and say hello - you guys always make my day and gives me a huge boost to keep on creating.

Well, back to the grind. Talk to you later.

Enjoy your evening.

Mother's Day ... finally

Hey all:

I am finally posting a few of the mother's day cards I made at the beginning of this month - I had forgotten about them until I was cleaning out the pictures on my camera today so thought I would go ahead and get started posting them. As I indicated in a earlier post, I was asked to make around 15 mother's day cards, which was such an honor. I'm going to post several at a time so as not to overdo a post, so here are the first 4. Hope you like them.

Enjoy your evening.

My mojo on Wednesday night

Hey again:

Well, I finally got my mojo finished last night - Mojo Monday that is :) I have been wanting to do their challenges for the longest time now and finally did one using this week's sketch, which was a good one. We have a lady at work who is having surgery today and wanted to do a bright, cheerful card for her to wish her a speedy recovery and boy, this is a bright cheerful color, I must say. At first, I was like, Janet what are you doing with this color, but after it was finished, I rather like it. Give me your thoughts.

Well, I think I'm finished for the night - see you tomorrow - have a great one !!

I'm a Top 5 winner :)

Hey:

I just found out from The Pink Elephant blog that I made their Top 5 for Challenge 15 - how awesome is that. The other ladies who participated in this challenge did such an amazing job and it is a privilege to be among them. I have placed the Top 5 badge on my sidebar to proudly display this great honor.

3 for the price of 1

Hey:

I have done a card that includes 3 separate challenges - isn't it fun when it works out like that :) This card is using my Kreative Ladyblog's challenge given by Julie, which is to create a birthday or mother's day card using the colors pink and black, Stamp with Us recipe challenge using 1 patterned paper, 2 ribbons, 1 flower and a button (I had a hard time with the patterned paper but believe the polka dot paper worked out well) and the last is from the first challenge given by Team Doodle over at Polka Doodle which was a sketch challenge. Tell me what you think.

I'm going to be back later to upload another challenge I worked on but haven't uploaded yet.

See you soon.

365 cards

Hi everyone:

I was talking with my good friend Deb a while back (hey Deb) and she told me that she, along with several others, has a blog called The Daily Dare. I have been trying to do better at keeping up with all the challenges and this is a wonderful way to see what's out there on a daily basis. Well, I saw the 365 Cards link and thought that would be an interesting one to look into since they have something different everyday. I took a shot at the sketch challenge posted on Sunday and had a great time making this birthday card. I know this is going to be a blog I visit often.

Hope you all have a great evening.

Happy Monday - well ...

... it sure did feel like that at work today - what a hard one it was - people were coming at me everywhere :) I am not complaining though because I am very blessed to have my job and lucky to work with wonderful people. I don't think I'm going to get to any cards done over the next few days because I'm going to be working from home some evenings, but since I did so many over the weekend, I'll be able to post over the next few days, hurray !!

This is a sketch challenge given by Robin Willis over at The Pink Elephant and must say I had a time getting this one to agree with me, but after looking at it for a while, I'm pretty happy with it. I had originally made this card for my uncle who hasn't been feeling that well for a while now; but after finishing it, I showed it to Jim and he goes, "nope, it's too dark, you need to make a more colorful one". He's right, Uncle Don is always so upbeat and ready to tickle everyone he comes in contact with, a bright and sunny card would be much better for him. I'm going to take this one to work and place it in my card box in case someone needs a "thinking of you" card one day. I'll post the new card I make for Uncle Don once completed. Thanks Robin for this challenging sketch - it was a great one and I know I will use it again.

I hope you all have a great evening.

Real quick post

Yeah, I know, I've said that before, but I'm going to be real short this time because Jim and Patrick are waiting for me to come outside and play badminton before it starts raining again and I can't resist badminton :)

I have been working on a lot of challenges this weekend and one of my favorites is the one Tami over at CPS came up with this week. We attended a wedding this weekend and the main color in the wedding was peach (it was so pretty). I had received a wedding paper pack as a gift for Christmas and knew after seeing this sketch, that these two combinations were exactly what I needed to complete this card. You can't really see the beautiful colors - it has been dark outside so the lighting wasn't that wonderful today - but I hope you like it.

Enjoy your evening.

Jazzy Inspirations Challenge

Happy Memorial Day everyone:

I hope you are enjoying this day and taking an extra long moment to remember our troops and pray for them. They are AMAZING people. I have been creating like a mad woman these past few days - I should be catching up on my emails like I started yesterday (I promise to finish up today - I have so many friends to write back to and say hello), but I have come along so many wonderful challenges these past few days, I just had to stop and play a little.

The first challenge I have completed is brought to us by Tenia Nelson (she is absolutely wonderful and the sweetest person I know) at Jazzy Inspirations. I have been wanting to play along with her challenges and the wonderful gals who are part of the design team for a while now, but always run out of time; however, this time, I said, no, I'm going to do it today and I did. The Challenge was to create using the colors based off of a Miles Davis CD Cover (teal, basic black, white and green). I have a very good friend whose father was in a car accident not too long ago and wanted to make him a get well card to cheer him up a little. When I saw Tenia's challenge, I knew this was the perfect color combination for a masculine get well card. I must admit, though, these are unusual colors for me and I had a time putting them together, but I think all in all (except for the brads being a little off center) it turned out pretty good.

Well, I'm off to work on more creations - it's raining here again today so it's a perfect day to stay in and play, especially since I cleaned my house on Saturday :)

Talk to you soon

The More The Merrier Challenge

Well, I would say this weekend is almost over, but since tomorrow is Memorial Day, we get an extra day of weekend. I hope everyone will have a great day - please take a moment to remember the men and women who serve in our military who work hard to keep us safe - they are true heroes.

I am finally going through my emails and came across my The More The Merrier Challenge that I had forgotten to take a picture of here at home, but scanned in at work - the card was made for my office manager's birthday. Our challenge this month was coordinated by myself and Jill (we tied for last month's challenge, which is such a honor - there's great talent in this group) - after much discussion, we came up with instructions to make a masculine card using the colors blue, red, yellow, brown and white using this sketch Jill designed. I have placed everyone in this group on my sidebar, so please stop by and see how wonderful they are.

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful holiday tomorrow - it is suppose to rain again tomorrow, so hopefully I'll be back with some creations I have been working on today and I still have to post the mother's day cards I made and do plan on getting them uploaded tomorrow.

Have a great evening.

2RedBananas

.
Happy Sunday:

Well, it's raining here in my area of South Carolina, so that means I'm going to be stamping all day if I can :) I am trying to play catch up as well. When I started going through reader this morning, I came across the 2RedBananas challenge and was very excited about it because I have a card that I have been meaning to post but haven't had a chance to yet; it's one of the mother's day cards I was asked to do for a friend. I received around 15 request for mother's day cards and thought this was one of the best ones I came up with. I really like these colors - yellow is my favorite color - and you can't see it, but there is glitter on the DP and really brings out the card more.

I hope everyone has a great afternoon.

The Pink Elephant Challenge

Hi everyone:

I have another post to bring to you later today, but wanted to go ahead and get this one posted for this week's The Pink Elephant Challenge theme challenge, which was to use monograms/letters in your project. I did a set of monograms cards for my sister to give as a gift a while back and thought I would choose one of them. I made several designs in the set and couldn't come up with my favorite, so thought I would pick my favorite pair. They are very simple, but I love the black and white combination - they look very elegant, I think. I am hoping to make some for myself soon.

Well, we are off to attend a wedding, so I'm going to cut it short. I will be back later.

Have a great afternoon.

I'm back

Happy Monday again:

I am finally posting a new card, but it's not one of the Mother's Day cards I promised last week, but I am going to get those posted this week.

I wanted to post this sympathy card I made for a friend last week, whose mother passed away unexpectedly. I always have a difficult time coming up with a sympathy card, but recently purchased the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set from SU and that made it easier to put a nice one together.

Jared, our oldest son, is on his way over to have supper with us tonight so I'm off to get started on his favorite - homemade mac & cheese.

Have a great evening.

A New Challenge Blog

Happy Monday:

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm getting there :)

I wanted to give you some exciting news - while looking at one of my friend's blog this morning, she mentioned a new challenge blog. When I visited it, I knew it was going to be a great one, so I wanted to share their information with you. It is The Next Level - Dawn and Ann are the ladies who have started this new blog and it seems like it is going to be a blast to be a part of. Go by when you get a moment to say hello and take a look at what they're planning (they are also offering a chance to win some awesome blog candy to start off this new challenge blog).

I am hoping to post a card for you this evening, so stay tuned.

Hey y'all

I just wanted to send everyone a hello and say that I'm still here. I have been extremely busy the last few weeks and even though I have been working on cards (I had over 15 request for Mother's Day cards last week, which I'll upload soon - wow, I was so pleased to know that others enjoy what I do) and haven't had the chance to get on the computer to stop by and say hello. I miss you all so much and am hoping to get there by the end of this week.

I hope everyone has an awesome week and enjoys the blessings God has given us all.

~~HUGS ~~

How sad ...

... the weekend is over. It has been such a wonderful weekend here in the Bagnall household. We didn't do anything special, just enjoyed the time together. Today is Jim's 52nd birthday and we went shopping, fixed him a nice supper and just did what he likes to do best "hang out". It's so hard to believe he is 52 - he sure doesn't look or act his age :) As we were talking about it, I go we have been married 1/2 of your life now (he was 26 and I was 19 when we got married) - he just looked at me and goes wow, that's something. God is truly great !!

Well, here is the 2nd part of the project I'm working on for a lady at work who asked me to make little cards and tags for her granddaughters - I posted the little cards a while back and now post the tags. Please let me know what you think - I'm sort of in the same position I was with regard to the cards in that I have not done these before, so I'm looking for ideas on how to improve upon them.

Well, I'm off to work on a few birthday cards and hopefully get some mother's day cards done - Elaine, I'll get yours out Tuesday so you can get Sue's to her before the weekend - I'm doing what I always do, wait to the last minute to get them done :)

I hope everyone has a great Monday.
