Dynamic Duos #59 challenge

Hey:

It's Saturday and time for the new challenge over at Dynamic Duos.  This week, you get to pick one color to go with Basic Gray and as you can see, my choice was pink.  It was a hard choice though because gray goes with so many colors.
I hope you head over and join in on the fun.  You have until Thursday at noon to enter and remember, you can use a neutral color along with the two main colors.

Have a great weekend.

Mabry Mill featuring Teresa Collins' Memories collection

Teresa Collins' Memories
Mabry Mill layout
Created by Janet G. Bagnall
Hi everyone:

I hope you are all enjoying this week so far.  It has been hard getting back from vacation, but I made it through the week :)  Speaking of vacation, I have created a layout of Jim (which rarely happens) taken while on vacation.  We drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway and along the way stopped at Patrick's favorite spot, Mabry Mill.  It was rainy that day, so Jim insisted on carrying an umbrella (luckily, it didn't rain while walking about - it waited until we go back to the car).  I don't prepare many layouts with Jim or myself, but am really glad I did this one because with this collection, it turned out great.
The one neat thing about this collection is there are folders to use.  Now, I have to be honest here and say that I really struggled with those because I have never used them before.  I asked my friend and fellow DT member, Nicolle, for some suggestions and she said to stuff things in them and such, so I took her idea and place one of the folders behind the larger one that the picture lays on.  It then dawned on me that I have no room for journaling, so came up with the idea of putting the journaling inside that folder.  I used the Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow tabs to make it open up easier and the clip to keep it closed.  How great is that?  I love it.
When I finished putting everything down, it just didn't look finished, so I decided to go in and distress around it to make it look at little more rustic.  I just love to distress my pages :)
When I picked up the photo from Walgreens they had given me two copies of my picture, but didn't want to throw the extra one away, so I popped up one to give it some dimension.  I've never done that before but do believe I will do it again.
I hope you all enjoy the weekend and head over to The Hens Den to take a look at all the goodies Charlie has for sale.

It's that time ...

... for a new color challenge over at Dynamic Duos and I really hope you will join in on the fun.
We had an interesting color challenge this week and I'm not one to usually use these colors, but when you combine them, they work very well together.

This is another one of the cards I made for our friend from work.  I was on vacation last week, so I am anxious to see how her first treatment went - I pray it went well.  I appreciate everyone's kind comments and well wishes for her - I will make sure she knows you are all keeping her in your thoughts and prayers.
Well, we are back home from vacation so I have a lot of cleaning (washing specifically) to do, so I'm off.  Enjoy your Saturday and I hope you stop by with your creation using this weeks colors.

A pick you up using Dynamic Duos Challenge #57 color challenge

Hi everyone:

It's Saturday and that means it is time for a new color challenge over at Dynamic Duos, which I really hope you will come over and enjoy.

I have a friend who discovered recently she has pancreatic cancer and we are planning on sending her a card every week to try and brighten her day.  I thought the colors for this week would be great because even though one of the colors is black, if you pair it with pear pizzazz, it makes it cheerful (well, it does to me).
I really hope you join in on the fun we have over at Dynamic Duos and have a great week.

Dynamic Duos Challenge #56

Good morning:

Today's Dynamic Duos color challenge is just lovely.  These are wonderful colors and I really hope you are able to join us this week.
When I started creating my card for this week's challenge, I was at a loss on how to put it together, so I went to my folders that I have saved on my laptop for inspiration (this was before I heard of  Pinterest) and found this wonderful card created by Narelle Farrugia and knew it would be perfect for what I was wanting to do.
This is a short post, got a lot of things going on today, but I hope you all have a great Saturday.

Happy Birthday Nancy featuring Teresa Collins' Memories collection

Teresa Collins' Memories
Happy Birthday Card
Happy Friday - WOO-HOO :)  I hope you are all ready for the weekend.  I know I am because I'm going to do a lot of creating the next few days.  When Charlie asked us which kit we would like to receive for this month's projects, I looked at the store and Teresa Collins' Memories line kept calling me and am so glad this is the one I picked, because it is lovely.  The colors are just adorable and I love the embellishments that go along with it.
My great friend Nancy celebrated her birthday this week and when I was showing her this kit after it came into the office, I knew I was going to use these goodies for a card for her.  I am really pleased with how it turned out and do believe it went over well :)
I hope you guys have a great weekend and hope you head over to The Hens Den to take a look at the great items Charlie has waiting for you.

Dynamic Duos Challenge #55

Good Saturday morning:

I hope you all had a great week.  We sure did but am glad the weekend is here.  This week's challenge at Dynamic Duos was a challenging one, I must admit.
I created 4 different cards with these colors and finally decided on this one :)  I used the SU paper daises and colored them in using this weeks colors - I like the sunburst effect.  I used SU silver shimmer smooch spritz on the whisper white cardstock (you can't really see it) to tone it down a bit - it looks really pretty IRL.
I hope you are able to head over and join us this week at Dynamic Duos.

Thanks

Janet
